Using the built-in whiteboard on a Clevertouch screen
Most Clevertouch screens come with a built-in whiteboard so you can write, draw and teach without a laptop. On newer models it is often called Lynx Whiteboard, but older models may use a slightly different version.
Opening the whiteboard
On many screens you choose Present on the home screen and then tap the Whiteboard icon. On others you tap the Whiteboard icon from the Dashboard. Your screen may look slightly different, so look for a Whiteboard icon on the home screen or app list.
Writing and drawing
- Tap the pen or pencil icon.
- Write with your finger or pen.
- Tap the icon again to see options for colour and thickness.
- Use the shapes tools to draw lines, circles and boxes.
Toolbars may be in the middle, along the bottom and at the right. The names of buttons can change between versions, so tap an icon to see what it does.
Erasing and undoing
- Use the eraser tool to rub out.
- Use undo if you made a mistake. It is usually an arrow icon.
- Be careful with any clear page option.
Save before you leave
Whiteboard work does not usually stay on the screen for ever, so save it before you finish. See our guide on saving and sharing whiteboard files.
When to get more help
If the whiteboard will not open, crashes or is missing tools, restart the screen first. If it keeps happening, your IT team or supplier can check the software version and update it. If the screen is managed by your school or company, some settings may be locked. Your IT team or the supplier you bought the screen from can help with warranty, firmware and admin-locked settings.
